Sports injuries are injuries that occur to joints, bones or soft tissues like muscles, tendons and ligaments while training or actively engaging in sporting events. Sporting injuries can occur suddenly like a sprained ankle or knee or can develop slowly like tendinopathy or stress fractures.
Our team of physiotherapists are experienced in assessing and treating sports injuries in all ages and all levels of sport from to beginners to elite. Understanding the training demands of athletes and the predisposing factors to injury, places our staff in a great position to manage sports injuries from the acute stage right through to return to sport.
Our physio team have post graduate qualifications and are experienced treating many different sporting codes including rugby, netball, rowing, running, triathlon, swimming, athletics, la crosse, football and cross fit. Sports injury management begins with a thorough assessment, imaging if required (ultrasound scans or x-ray), followed by physiotherapy treatment and exercise rehabilitation.
